eSourcing & Category Specialist

You will be working as eSourcing & Category Specialist and will be part of Motion Business Area for Drive Products Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Procurement Business Partner and will be responsible for supporting regional or global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional or global category manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensures purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities

• Conducting and running eSourcing events on SAP ARIBA platform. Driving transparency and effective usage of the tool to meet business requirements. Ensuring suppliers and stakeholders are trained and made aware of the tool
• Supporting development and communication or implementation of global and regional SCM strategies for areas such as indirect materials and services (Transactional- tactical) and strategic sourcing, process & excellence, finance, risk management, supply base management, quality, sustainability and procurement and logistics systems
• Driving compliance to global and regional sourcing – operational strategies in the areas of IM&S to maximize savings. Fostering communication internally, externally and between different business lines, functions and supports the implementation of procurement and logistics activities and initiatives in the countries HUB through this clear communication
• Leading client satisfaction with internal stakeholders from general management, business, business lines and other functions in the region or country through communication and active feedback loops between stakeholders and the PL organization
• Responsible for meeting the planned cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier’s reduction, PO coverage, customer satisfaction, payment terms, spend compliance, processes automation. Analyzing problems to identify best solutions and triggers improvements from relevant procurement and logistics organization to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
• Identifying, documenting and communicating best practices using of benchmarking, surveys and case studies to establish preferred business practices. Contributing to development and implementation of SCM standards, tools and processes in the respective HUB
• Fostering change management within a HUB or Country. Ensuring the contracts are executed as per PL frame work and reviewed by country legal

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Commerce graduate with specialization in Supply Chain or Business Administration or Finance or related discipline
• Required with 3 to 5 years of experience in SCM around Services and Strategic Sourcing in a company
• Ability to collaborate with teams across functional areas, business units, and across countries in respective HUB.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ARIBA eSourcing tool, of MS office tools including MS Project, MS Excel etc., and SAP, Business process standards and associated application. (P2P process), GDPR, Vendor consolidation and process optimization
• Creating local or HUB processes in alignment with business instructions where needed by local regulations
