Due to the imminent retirement of one of our valued colleagues, we are now offering the role of Head of Global Logistics Sourcing (m/f/d) to join our Global Product Asset and Supply Chain Management Team.
This role is ideal for someone eager to lead and optimize Borealis’ global logistics sourcing strategy. Together with a team of eight experienced professionals, you will ensure that the business is cost-effective, efficient and compliant with environmental, safety, legal and social standards. Overall, the team handles logistics costs of more than 300 million Euros.
Together with your team, you will:
  • Ensure budget delivery with the right balance between service, cost and environmental improvement
  • Develop and implement the global logistics sourcing strategy for our Polyolefin business
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with key departments such as Sales, Planning, and Site Logistics.
  • Support procurement for inbound logistics with a focus on warehousing and maritime operations
  • Act as the main link to relevant stakeholders at the European Chemical Industry Council
  • Be a core member of various internal steering and project groups dealing with topics such as customer loyalty programs or definition of supply chain service levels, etc.
  • Contribute to the quality team about logistics claims

About you

  • You are a seasoned professional in the areas of procurement and/or supply chain management, potentially with additional commercial experience and ideally with a background in logistics sourcing.
  • You have an excellent understanding of the requirements in the chemical industry, such as the handling of dangerous goods or similar.
  • Demonstrated people management experience is a bonus. However, you should have the ability to lead yourself and others, contribute to the growth of people, be an enabler of change and deliver impact.
  • You excel in effectively collaborating with various stakeholders and building relationships in a complex organizational setup.
  • We assume that negotiation skills, financial literacy, business acumen, strategic thinking and a background in analytics are already second nature to you as a professional in the aforementioned field.

We provide a competitive compensation package, and the individual grade, salary, and fringe benefits will be tailored to your profile, experience, and the specific country/location you apply for. Should you join us in one of our Austrian locations and according to Austrian law, we offer compensation based on the collective labor agreement starting at EUR 108.431,- annual gross salary (based on 38 hrs/week) plus a yearly bonus, and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background.
 
The selection process will involve multiple interviews with assessment elements and engagement with various relevant stakeholders, primarily at the end of May and throughout June. We will contact you as soon as the screening is closed.
