ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCUTRE

BUSINESS: CIRCOR Industrial

LOCATION: Coimbatore, India

DIRECT REPORTING: Supply Chain Manager

FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: NA

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

Buyer – Indirect materials must Identify, evaluate & develop supplier base for Indirect materials, consumables, tools, Capex machinery, Fixtures, lubricants, paints, solvents, furniture, outside processes like RT, MT, PT, HT, Nitriding, blasting, painting etc.

Principal Activities

Experience in handling indirect materials.

  • Identify, evaluate & maintain supplier base.
  • Develop Supply base in the region.
  • Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Localisation of Products and work to achieve team goal.
  • Monitoring supplier development & performance with respect to total cost, Quality and Delivery
  • Float enquiries, get quotes and negotiate for better price and delivery.
  • Ontime PO release and delivery based on the user required dates.
  • Supplier relationship management.
  • Suppliers visit and follow-up.
  • Responsible for sub-contract processes like RT, HT, Nitriding, hardening, coating, blasting, painting etc.

Job Requirements:

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Hands on Experience in procuring indirect materials.
  • Hands on Experience in handling outside processes with the respective specs and standards.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in handling indirect materials and outside processes.
  • Experience in MS Excel, Word with good proficiency, MS Power Point with at least minimal proficiency.
  • Should have good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude as a responsible team player.
  • Commitment to high quality, high productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 3 to 6 years of experience in Purchase department from the Valve Industry is preferred.
