Title:
Project Logistics Manager, Metals

Introduction:
We are looking for a Project Logistics Manager, who will be responsible for end-to-end logistic process starting from planning to delivery to the customers through a project. Your role plays a crucial part in collaborate strongly with all parties involved in the project supply chain such as Procurement, Expediting, Engineering, Project Scheduler and Project Management. You will act as consultant in regard to import and export customs concept during Sales and Delivery phase to Logistics Planning, project team, suppliers and customers on demand.

Main Responsibilities:
Interprets the sales agreement, L/C terms and conditions for shipping, prepares and maintains the logistics implementation and plan.
Selects and purchases logistics services in compliance with global logistics sourcing strategies.
Responsible for the export clearance documentation, issuance of L/C invoicing and documentation in cooperation with project management.
Is the contact to logistics service providers for transportation, customs brokerage, packaging, warehousing, and other activities pertaining to logistics domain.
Monitors progress of shipment deliveries and informs consignees/ customers in project country in regard to status and keeping shipment data up to date in SMM (ERP).
Responsible for project logistics budget and reports deviations to project manager.
Manages equipment / material forwarding schedule with project manager.
Provides transport costs to analysis and overview of total purchase cost.
Leads logistics related claims towards Logistics Service Providers and Metso Marine Cargo Insurer.

To succeed:
Bachelor’s degree with suitable academic background in area of logistics and supply chain management.
Operational experience of 10+ years in project logistics and working with Logistic Service Providers.
Should have exposure of working in a project team
Good understanding of international business, industry, supply chain processes and practices.
Ability to interpret contract, risk management and negotiate effectively.
Teamwork and collaborative work style.
Relevant working experiences with SAP MM, ability to work with various digital tools like MS O365, SAP MM, SMM, LMS, Meridian and other tools.
Good verbal and written English communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere.
Having detail orientation mind set with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines by focusing on project and customer’s demand.

Additional information:
Location will be based at Kolkata.

This position is located in India. However, it involves domestic traveling occasionally and international travelling on demand.
