Supply Planning Lead

This position reports to General Manager Demand & Supply Planning and is based at Baddi.

What you will do

The Supply Planning Lead will plan and monitor the FG, Raw and packaging materials at Third-party manufacturer locations to enable Zero stoppages in manufacturing while complying to the Raw material and Packing material procurement process. The person would also have the responsibility of importing FG from Affiliates and coordinating the labeling operations at the Bonded Warehouse.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the demand planners to plan for FG availability across all the DCs to deliver service level of 98%+ for Femcare Business
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to detect the demand changes early and amend the plans accordingly
  • Implementation of key SC strategies like APO driven planning, etc. to ensure the right freshness of the product
  • For the locally produced FG, follow the material planning process by carrying out the MRP and communicate the schedules to the suppliers
  • Devise and monitor the MRP exception lists to ensure the agreed inventory targets for RPM
  • Responsible for keeping a tab on the supplier’s capacity and highlight the challenges
  • Work with respective partners to mitigate any concern on capacity and recurring issues in supply performance or quality
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time
  • Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with members of the purchasing team
  • Actively participate in the New Product Development (NPD) process and complete the assigned tasks
  • Participate in the Promo Planning process to help in making the materials stock available
  • Actively participate in the Cost Improvement Projects (CIP) process. Ensure the completion of the CIP activities and localization projects
  • Responsible for the correctness of master data for FG, RM & PM in SAP for respective goods and materials at TPM locations
  • Responsible for SLOB reduction of FG & RPM
  • Responsible for Inventory Target for FG and RPM
  • Participates in the S&OP process to ensure stock availability
  • Ensure SOX compliance. Ensure appropriate documentation
  • Lead the Digitization and Excellence projects to improve supply planning performance
Qualifications

 

What we are looking for

  • Post-graduation in the supply chain/operation is preferred
  • Strong Analytical skills and supply chain domain knowledge
  • Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
  • Assertive, optimistic, resilient, and welcomes change
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Proactively contributes to the team
  • Capability to work in a matrix organization where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP/ERP/APO tools for Material Planning & Supply Planning
  • APICS certification is preferred
