To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Head of Logistics within the Supply Chain team! This position will be located in Mumbai.

Position Purpose
Responsible to deliver best in class service to our customer and ensure efficient and effective logistics operations without any compromise on safety & compliance.
Key Accountabilities
  • Ensuring safety and compliance to Environmental & Regulatory policies and process related to Logistics and distribution including International Trade Compliance
  • Lead National Logistics organization to deliver business requirement of Cost/Cash and Customer service, people development and organization capability building
  • Lead continuous improvement projects at country level resulting in low cost, high quality, and valued services to our customers
  • Support, participate, and deliver in major global and regional projects (network design, freight tenders, rail fleet optimization, Warehouse Consolidation, Inventory Management)
  • Ensure cascading and implementation of Global standards and policies for Warehousing and Transportation
  • Follow, implement established logistic and supply chain policies, procedures, and practices to meet requirements supporting short and long-term business needs
  • Lead the financial business performance and relationship with 3PL service provider
  • Ensure all KPI’s include OTIF, DOH, Per KG Transportation Cost, Transit Lead Time reduction, Inventory Accuracy, Avoidance of Premium Freight and detention cost delivered year on year
  • Lead logistic activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials and distribution of products at the site
  • Lead daily function meeting and provide day-to-day operational priority/direction, resolve barriers and escalate issues
  • Ensure connection between sales, manufacturing, purchasing, production control, traffic, and warehousing to support a manufacturing operation and optimize costs
  • Lead & participate in efficient freight / warehouse negotiation process as supplier relationship framework & part of Logistics category management
  • Manage export operations of goods moving out from all the site as per the compliances.
  • Lead a team of talented people supervise, coach and train them
  • Identify, implement & communicate the solutions to continuously improve and simplify the logistics processes, and interfaces with key stakeholders for the site
  • Lead Key customers service initiatives to ensure we deliver best in class service to our customers
  • Ensure the GWP & Invoices compliances are followed and implemented in respective warehouses & site
  • Ensuring standard operating procedures are followed and Review / Redesign & Simplify standard operating procedures with change in business dynamics and need
  • Working on Cost reduction and process improvement projects
  • Working on carbon emission reduction initiatives of the organization as part of Sustainability

Education: Any Graduate + MBA (Engineer + MBA, preferred)
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistics & supply chain management in Chemical, Food, Pharma, FMCG Industry
