A Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment from Import suppliers to the Port of India in the most economical cost & work with Foreign trade office & Finance for on-time License application & closures

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Manage and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
• Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to resolve logistics issues.
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• To work with DGFT & consultants on Advance License applications & closures

Specific Tasks: *

• Route planning and optimization
• Freight forwarding and customs clearance
• Transportation management (air, land, sea)
• Freight audit and payment processing
• Logistics IT system management (e.g., OTM)
• Data analysis and reporting
• Budgeting and cost control

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in logistics software and technology (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP)
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws (e.g., FMCSA, IATA)
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP)
