Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities – Strategic Sourcing
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business goals
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for cost, quality, and delivery
Handle RFQ/RFP processes, commercial negotiations, and cost finalization
Drive cost reduction through value engineering and alternate sourcing
Analyze BOM cost and support product cost optimization
Manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness)
Establish long-term agreements and rate contracts with key suppliers
Ensure timely PR to PO conversion and procurement efficiency
Coordinate with planning, production, quality, and engineering teams
Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity for all customers
Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier capacity
Develop localization strategies to reduce dependency on imports
Ensure compliance with company policies and customer-specific requirements
Support audits and maintain sourcing documentation and records
Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier development
