The DRP & Supply Planner creates an unconstrained 24-month plan at item/location level of planned stock movements across the distribution network in order to meet customer service and operational targets.
They create a robust and feasible packed goods deployment plan for shipments from the source plant locations across the distribution network to ensure stock availability is maximised and stock obsolescence is minimised.
The role also carries responsibility for leading the production planning processes for items manufactured within the assigned portfolio, ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
Essential Job Functions
Create an unconstrained 24-month plan at item/location level of planned stock movements across the distribution network to meet customer service and operational targets.
Create a robust and feasible packed goods deployment plan outlining what needs to be shipped from source plant locations across the distribution network to maximise stock availability and minimise stock obsolescence.
Handle production planning processes for items manufactured within the portfolio, ensuring alignment to customer demand and inventory targets.
Create a robust and achievable 24-month production plan for finished goods and all intermediate oils.
Review supply shortage alerts daily, take corrective actions, complete Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and develop and action Continuous Improvement (CI) plans.
Lead demand inputs into SNP from business Market Demand Managers to ensure DRP Planners are using correct demand signals.
Work directly with Market Demand Managers to ensure sales forecasts in APO are robust and reflect the latest demand plans.
Ensure demand control processes are effective and that changes to demand forecasts are understood.
Create an achievable 24-month production plan based on the Distribution Requirements Plan, factoring complexity and required capacity levelling at blending and filling levels.
Agree with manufacturing teams on what should be scheduled for production in the following week based on the production plan, available capacity, and materials.
Work with plant material planning teams to ensure correct stocking policies for bulk intermediate oils and appropriate safety stock levels.
Represent planning in monthly market S&OP meetings and weekly demand control meetings.
Ensure inventory levels at SKU level are maintained within agreed targets.
Review SLOBS and excess stocks monthly, take corrective actions, complete RCA, and implement CI plans.
Work closely with NPI & Product Coordinators to ensure product plans are reflected in production plans and delivered to agreed timelines, including phase-in and phase-out activities.
Work closely with NPI & Product Lifecycle Managers to ensure product lifecycle plans are reflected in DRP and deployment plans.
Calculate plant ABCD classifications to identify production priorities.
Validate warehouse ABCD classifications and packed goods safety stocks as part of the central Stock Mix Optimisation (SMO) process.
Work with Master Data Administrators and Plant Schedulers to ensure DRP and production planning master data accuracy with regular reviews.
Lead demand for non-NIKE distribution orders (outside envelope/region).
Support crisis and continuity of supply disruptions, including participation in Incident Management Teams (IMTs).
Maintain strong working relationships with supplying plant scheduling and material planning teams.
Share best practices with other Supply Planners to drive consistency and standardisation across the performance unit.
Adhere to tasks outlined in EMS/QMS systems of GBS.

Qualifications
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
Proven experience across multiple supply chain planning roles.
Knowledge and experience in Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) and its business importance.
Solid understanding of planning systems, preferably Kinaxis Rapid Response.
High degree of digital literacy, including advanced Excel and business reporting tools.
Ability to operate across operational, tactical, and strategic planning levels.
Demonstrated drive, insight, and accountability.
Ability to perform under sustained pressure with conflicting demands and evolving circumstances.
Ability to guide others in their work when required.
Strong problem-solving capability.
Good verbal and written interpersonal skills.
Experience in Sales and Customer Management within the Lubricants business, finance, or supply chain is desirable.
Experience working with teams across multiple geographies.
Absolute fluency in business English.
University or college degree, preferably in Economics.
Very strong analytical skills with ability to summarise complex information and drive performance improvements.
