Job Summary:
Assistant Officer- Stores
Key Accountabilities
Duty Statements
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of materials and supplies, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing items as needed.
- Procurement: Coordinate with vendors to procure materials and supplies at competitive prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Inventory Control: Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, prevent stockouts, and optimize inventory levels.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, and stock adjustments.
- Team Management: Supervise and train storekeeping staff to ensure efficient operation of the civil stores department.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all materials and supplies meet quality standards and specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment within the civil stores department.
- Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and departmental performance as required.
- Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the budget for the civil stores department, including forecasting expenses and controlling costs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the civil stores operations.
