Manufacturing Manager – Controller & ESC Assembly

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Additional certifications in manufacturing, quality, or supply chain management are preferred.
Master’s degree in (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field).
Additional certifications in Quality Management, Lean, or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) are preferred.
Must have wide knowledge about Quality Standards and certification audit like ISO 9001/IATF/AS9100
Years of Experience
15–20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or electro-mechanical assembly.
Experience in managing production operations, assembly processes, and manufacturing scale-up is essential.
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Manager – Controller & ESC Assembly is responsible for managing end-to-end manufacturing operations for electronic controllers and ESC assemblies. This role focuses on setting up and scaling production, ensuring efficient assembly, testing, quality compliance, and traceability.
The position requires a hands-on leader who can drive manufacturing excellence, support process development, and ensure seamless coordination across production, supply chain, and quality functions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Manufacturing Operations & Production Management
Lead the setup and scaling of manufacturing operations, including layout planning, tooling selection, and process definition.
Manage day-to-day production activities for controller and ESC assembly.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate production batches to meet timelines and quality objectives.
Develop and maintain standardized assembly processes, work instructions, and quality checkpoints.
Integrate ERP/MRP systems into production planning for effective work order tracking and material availability.
2. Assembly & Testing
Oversee and support manual and semi-automated assembly processes, including wiring and mechanical integration.
Support development and implementation of functional testing systems for finished products.
Ensure adherence to ESD-safe practices and proper handling procedures.
3. Supplier, Inventory & Logistics Management
Manage receipt and inspection of PCBAs and components from suppliers.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including storage and shipment of finished goods.
Maintain inventory control, BOM traceability, and work-in-progress tracking using ERP/MRP tools.
Raise and manage non-conformance reports for supplier-related quality issues.
4. Quality & Compliance
Support implementation and adherence to quality management systems.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with regulatory and internal standards.
Maintain accurate production records, including build logs, serial tracking, and traceability documentation.
Support audit readiness and quality reviews.
5. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Continuously improve assembly processes and production flow.
Identify opportunities to reduce rework, improve yield, and enhance efficiency.
Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback to engineering teams.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives and introduce automation where feasible.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to support production requirements.
Coordinate with procurement for material availability and supplier performance.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.
7. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and supervise manufacturing personnel and technicians.
Provide training and guidance to ensure process adherence and skill development.
Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

1. Tools and Technologies
ERP/MRP Systems: Production planning, inventory management, and tracking tools
Assembly Tools: Manual and semi-automated assembly equipment
Testing Equipment: Functional testing systems for electronic assemblies
Quality Tools: NCR systems, traceability tools, inspection systems
Data Tools: Excel or equivalent for tracking and reporting
2. Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing and PCBA handling
Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and electronic testing
Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems
Understanding of quality management systems and ESD practices
Experience in implementing manufacturing processes and production scale-up
