Job Summary:
Responsible to execute GTC processes. Provide import / export classifications according to the international harmonized tariff system. Contact point for internal customers for trade compliance related questions, incl. customs procedures, duty optimization, origin determination, control and due diligence for shipments to embargoed or sanctioned countries, import / export control and license management. Support on audits from authorities.
Job Description:
Support the Global Head Trade to define Trade Compliance processes and systems
Improve existing processes in SAP and coordinate with IT relevant system changes, including origin, preference, import-exports, trade checks etc.
Provide guidance for the tariff classification, ensuring imported and exported materials are classified correctly according to the international Harmonized Tariff system, administrative and judicial decisions.
Preferential and non-preferential origin handling. Calculation of preferential origin per Free Trade Agreement in SAP GTS and manual calculation.
Monitor changes related to trade regulations, alert business and implement procedures.
Application and management of licenses. Establish yearly statistics about imports/exports of controlled products
Customer due diligence for embargoed or sanctioned countries.
High Risk Country checks and EUD process. Block / Release process, denied party screening
Maintain customs procedures within the regions, check if simplified customs procedures, duty optimizations may be applicable.
Support the Head Global Trade with questions related to customs valuation, customs processes or other Trade Compliance topics.
