Job Description
This role is designed for a hands-on SAP SD end-user expert who plays a critical role in ensuring seamless Order-to-Cash execution, EDI transaction integrity, and high-quality master and transactional data. The position acts as a functional backbone between business users, customers, logistics partners, and IT, ensuring stable operations, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement across SD and EDI processes.
The incumbent will be expected to own SAP SD transactions end to end, manage EDI monitoring and exception handling, and apply strong supply chain context to drive accuracy, compliance, and customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
SAP SD – End User Ownership
Act as a power user and functional expert for SAP SD covering key Order-to-Cash processes, including order creation, order changes, pricing, delivery coordination, billing triggers, and status tracking.
Execute and validate SD transactions such as sales orders, order blocks, delivery blocks, billing blocks, returns, cancellations, and free-of-charge orders.
Ensure pricing accuracy, condition records, rebates, and contract compliance within SAP SD.
Perform root-cause analysis for SD-related errors and inconsistencies and work with IT for permanent fixes.
EDI Operations & Exception Management
Monitor, analyse, and manage EDI transactions (e.g. orders, acknowledgements, invoices, ASNs) to ensure successful end-to-end processing.
Identify and resolve EDI failures related to master data, pricing, quantities, scheduling, or partner setup.
Act as the first-level functional owner for EDI exception queues, coordinating with customers, 3PLs, and IT teams.
Supply Chain Execution & Coordination
Coordinate with Planning, Logistics, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure on-time, in-full (LOTIF) order fulfilment.
Apply strong supply chain understanding to manage allocations, backorders, delivery priorities, and network constraints.
Proactively identify risks to order fulfilment and drive corrective actions before customer impact.
Data Quality & Governance
Own master data and transactional data accuracy impacting SD and EDI processes (customer master, material master, pricing, routes, partner functions, etc.).
Support data governance initiatives by ensuring adherence to SOPs, controls, and audit requirements.
Identify recurring data issues and partner with data governance or IT teams for long-term resolution.
Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Track and analyse key KPIs such as order accuracy, EDI success rate, LOTIF, billing errors, and cycle time.
Use data and insights to recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and control mechanisms.
Support automation and standardisation initiatives across SAP SD and EDI processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Knowledge Enablement
Act as a bridge between business users and IT, providing functional clarity on SD and EDI processes.
Collaborate closely with Global / North America Supply Chain stakeholders on issue resolution and process alignment.
Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training material for SAP SD and EDI processes.
Guide and support junior team members, helping build functional depth within the team.

Experience Requirements:
Must-Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
7-10 years of experience in order management or supply chain operations with global exposure.
Strong working knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes and their integration with logistics and billing.
Practical experience in EDI monitoring, exception handling, and partner coordination.
Strong understanding of supply chain execution concepts (order fulfilment, logistics, inventory, service levels).
High attention to detail with a strong data and control mindset.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders across regions
Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members.
Good to Have:
Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or large-scale supply chain environments.
Familiarity with automation tools (Power Automate, Winshuttle) and BI reporting (Power BI).
Knowledge of EDI transactions and order automation processes.
Organizational Relationships:
Reports to Manager – Supply Chain
Regular interactions with North America & Global Supply Chain teams.
Frequent interaction with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain Leadership teams.
Other Details:
The associate should have the flexibility to work in shifts that may range from 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM OR in regular India working hours. (Subject to change)
