We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Marine Operations professional to join our team at Essar Bulk Terminal Salaya Limited. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant port and vessel operations.
🔍 Role Overview
As part of the Marine team, you will be responsible for overseeing vessel operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining seamless coordination between vessels, port authorities, and internal teams.
âš“ Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage periodic marine drills, including oil spill response exercises
- Supervise lighterage operations, including boarding vessels when required
- Oversee safe mooring and unmooring operations at the jetty
- Ensure 24/7 manning of Marine Control Room with continuous monitoring (VTMS/VHF/GMDSS)
- Maintain and monitor fenders and navigational buoys
- Act as the primary point of contact during emergencies for vessels and response teams
- Perform monthly bunker surveys of marine crafts
- Ensure strict adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures
🤝 Stakeholder Interaction
- Daily coordination with Marine Control Room, Jetty Officers, and Radio Officers
- Liaising with vessels, tug operators, floating cranes, and cargo teams
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
- Sc / Pre-Sea certification from AMS + GMDSS Certification
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in marine/port operations
- Strong communication skills (proficiency in English)
- Good working knowledge of MS Office & Excel
